When one sees iron, their first thought may be “Medieval times.” But using wrought iron throughout your foyer will add an elegant and bold look. It is used for pillows, making garlands or inside picture frames for decoration. Burlap comes in a variety of colors (like brown, white, green and blue), but the most popular is the natural color, which has a brownish-mauve tone. This color will go with anything in your home as it is very versatile.

Another nature tip is to decorate tables and bookshelves with bird cages, moss, ceramic birds and makeshift candlesticks (made popular by sites like Pinterest and Etsy).

Focus on One Area for Small Spaces

If you have a small foyer area, focus on one area to accent. Adding something as simple as a side table with a lamp and flowers or a plate for keys will add some extra flair for that small space. If you can, hang some art work on the wall above the small table, giving the illusion of a larger wall.
