Adding Extras to Your Home With Luxury in Mind

Smug doesn’t even cover it – you’re living in a house of your design and everything seems almost perfect. You’ve got your big-screen telly in the living room, your glittering kitchen-dinette, your bedroom reminiscent of a sultan’s sleeping quarters and your bathroom fit for a bowel-relaxing king.
Yet, your house should always be in a state of redesign, before that paint starts to lose its sheen and that bedroom fit for a sultan starts to resemble a bedsit fit for a tramp.
There are always additions you can make to your home to keep it fresh. Here are just a few steps you can take to ensure your home always feels perfect.
Grab an extension
An extension is the key to boosting your property’s value and giving you an extra bit of space to relax.
The humble conservatory is your best bet, allowing you a suntrap in the summer and, if you’ve got appropriately installed underfloor heating, a place to chill in the winter.
Although planning permission is not generally needed for an extension to your house, it’s always better to double-check with your local council lest you fall foul of planning regulations.
Get a conversion
Chances are, your attic is currently lying dormant, or housing junk and bric-a-brac that you’ll never use again. At the moment, its best function is to act as a strange and unnecessary void between your roof and the rest of your house.
Why not put that space to good use with a loft conversion? In doing so, you’ll add an extra room to your house, see an upsurge in your property’s value and finally find a use for that pointless void.
Give your spare room some purpose
Spare rooms are one of the stranger concepts in the housing world. Why leave a room spare when you could, instead, convert it into a hub for your favourite hobby, a home office or, really, whatever you fancy?
If you’re feeling extra-adventurous and fancy making some cash, you could try renting out your spare room to a lodger, giving you some extra company and another person to appreciate the luxurious abode you’ve created.
Get rid of all that clutter
By far the cheapest option on the list, giving your home a de-clutter will allow you to turn over a new leaf and could give your home a new lease of life. Got a bunch of old magazines you’ll never read again? Chuck ‘em. Are you holding onto a load of appliances you haven’t used in about 20 years? Bin the lot.
After all this, you’ll be able to see your home in a whole new light once again.
